Q. Will the system you build today grow as my business grows?

A. Yes. Systems hardware can be expanded to support thousands of users or web site hits. Our systems are designed using J2EE and Relational Data Base technologies which allow the systems to be configured on single or multiple servers. Using multiple-tier technology a server(s) could be independently used to run the Database tier, the Application Server Tier or the Web Server tier.

Q. Can I be sure the system will continue to perform with good response times as the usage grows?

A. Yes. Systems performance is dependent on several things including network configuration and available bandwidth, Hardware configuration and available resources and the amount of data held in the system.

Systems are built and tested not only for functionality but also with performance loads which means you know how the system will perform before the system is put into production. In addition performance testing can be performed to determine the best hardware configurations as the system grows so that hardware planning and procurement can be carried out to meet growing demands before the demands reduce the response time performance of the system.

Q. How much does it cost?

A.To properly answer this question a quote would need to be provided. However a small system containing up to 10 tables and 10 Web pages could be delivered for less than $5,000. For larger systems Vigilant offers very competitive rates to ensure you get the system you need very cost effectively.

Q. How long does it take to build?

A.The time to build a new Enterprise Application will depend on the complexity, the maturity of the requirements and the approach taken. A prototype for a system with less than 10 tables and 10 web pages could be produced in approximately one week. On a complex research project where technologies need to be integrated and complexity needs to be managed timeframes could extend to months or years. Once the system and approach have been defined Vigilant would normally provide a schedule of deliverables in order to complete the project.
